Tons of vendors and housing all over Pacific/Luna are not showing up!

A truly unbelievable amount of vendors, items, houses do not show up on the search!  I was looking around testing different houses inside and outside of town and found loads of missing searches.  (Outside was worse then inside, but there were missing vendors all over the place!)  The problem with this is that everytime I need something rare, I find myself running around for 1-2 hours looking for it because I know so much isn't showing up on the search.
